If you don’t pray often, you won’t gain a love for praying. Prayer is work, and therefore it is not very appealing to our natural sensibilities. But the simple rule for prayer is this: Begin praying and your taste for prayer will increase. The more you pray, the more you will acquire the desire for prayer, the energy for prayer, and the sense of purpose in prayer.Leslie Ludy (via yesdarlingido)
Sometimes I’m terrified of my heart; of it’s constant hunger for whatever it is it wants. The way it stops and starts.Edgar Allan Poe (via theodosiagrace)
Books are like seeds. They can lie dormant for centuries and then flower in the most unpromising soil.Carl Sagan (via observando)
I’ve gone through a 2 1/2 month streak of not reading my Bible or praying except that tonight was the first time in the 2 1/2 months that I’ve actually picked up my Bible and repented of my habitual sin and asked for forgiveness. I knew it was coming too. Everyday I was diving farther into sin while my conscience was telling me something was wrong. I ignored it most of the time but one thing I’ve learned time ans time again is that God knows what I’m going through and He’s not going to let me dwell in sin and rebellion continually. The past few days God has slowly been breaking me to bring me back to Him and now all I want to do is be brought into constant worship and relation with Him.
PS. If you guys could pray that I desire Godly passions and desires instead of wordly desires..that would be awesome.
How beautiful <3
